What is Satellite Innovation?

Satellite Innovation is a 1.5-day conference focused on the future of commercial satellite technologies, markets, and partnerships. The program explores innovation across the satellite supply chain—from launch and manufacturing to services and connectivity—featuring panels and keynotes from the industry’s most influential leaders and technologists. Attendees of Satellite Innovation are also welcome to stay for the first afternoon of the MilSat Symposium at no additional cost.

What is MilSat Symposium?

The MilSat Symposium is a 1.5-day conference dedicated to advancing collaboration between commercial satellite innovators and government/defense stakeholders. The agenda explores topics such as secure communications, hybrid architectures, and space policy—featuring senior leaders from U.S. and allied defense space programs. MilSat attendees are also welcome to attend the final morning of Satellite Innovation before MilSat programming begins that afternoon.

What is Silicon Valley Space Week?

Silicon Valley Space Week (SVSW) is a three-day gathering that hosts Satellite Innovation and the MilSat Symposium back-to-back with Satellite Innovation during the first 1.5 days, and MilSat Symposium during the second 1.5 days. Held annually at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, SVSW also features curated networking, private side talks, and partner presentations. The event convenes senior decision-makers across the commercial, civil, and defense space sectors for insight, engagement, and collaboration in the heart of Silicon Valley.

Where will Silicon Valley Space Week take place?


All events during Silicon Valley Space Week (including both Satellite Innovation and the MilSat Symposium) will be held at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California.

What is the cost to attend?


Pricing depends on your attendee category and which portions of SVSW you wish to attend. Please refer to the rates page for details: SVSW Rates.

Do you offer expo-only passes?


No. All visitors must register in advance to enter the exhibit area.

Do I need to register for specific talks or sessions?


No. Your full conference registration grants access to all sessions within your selected program(s). There is no need to pre-register for individual talks.

Is parking available?


Yes, complimentary parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in both the front and rear lots of the Computer History Museum. Additional free street parking is available nearby.
We encourage carpooling or using Uber/Lyft. Please do not leave valuables in your vehicle.

I live outside the United States. Can I travel to SVSW?


Please check with the U.S. Department of State for current travel advisories and entry requirements. We recommend that international attendees apply for visas early to avoid delays.

Where can I stay, and are there discounted hotel rates?


We do not reserve hotel room blocks, as rates from vacation rental services are often more affordable. We recommend reviewing options on our travel page. You may also browse local Airbnb options near the venue here.

Is there a virtual component to Silicon Valley Space Week?


Yes! Both Satellite Innovation and the MilSat Symposium will be available to registered attendees through our virtual platform. Livestreams, recordings, slides, and attendee interaction tools are included for all virtual and in-person participants.

Will the event be streamed live?


Yes. All keynotes, panels, and technical sessions will be streamed live to registered attendees via the virtual platform. On-demand replays will also be made available.

When will event recordings be available?


Recordings will typically be accessible on the virtual platform within 30–60 minutes after each session ends. Access is restricted to registered attendees and will remain available for up to 3 months following the event.

Will slide decks be available?


Select slide decks will be posted in the event app and virtual platform following each session. Please note that availability is determined by the individual speaker or organization. Historically, most speakers have opted to share their slides.

Will there be reserved seating for sessions?


No. All sessions operate on a first-come, first-served basis. Overflow seating will be available if any session reaches full capacity.

Is there an open call for content or papers?

While we do not accept papers, there are three ways to speak at Silicon Valley Space Week:

  • Side Talks – Open to all registered attendees, these are 15-minute solo presentations designed to spotlight fresh ideas, technical innovations, or early-stage concepts in an intimate setting.
  • Partner Presentations – Exclusive to confirmed sponsors and exhibitors, these are 45-minute workshop-style sessions curated by the presenting organization, ideal for showcasing advanced capabilities, mission concepts, or strategic initiatives.
  • Hahn Session Hall – Our main stage. These presentations are primarily invitation-only, but proposals are reviewed if they bring timely insight, novel technology, or cross-sector relevance.
