Craig Miller
Craig Miller serves as President, Viasat Government, a global defense business, leading the organization’s strategic vision and positioning Viasat Government to deliver transformational, multi-domain, sensor-to-shooter network orchestration and data integration capabilities for the next era of Cloud and AI-enabled defense operations.
Known for solving difficult military communications challenges by applying customer-focused technical and business model innovation, Craig is the driving force behind Viasat Government’s commitment to delivering better user experiences and safer, more effective mission outcomes for US service members and our allies.
With a focus on game-changing value creation and scalable execution, he leads the organization to deliver innovative solutions for challenging defense requirements in satellite networks, wireless and software-defined tactical edge networking, assured space-based communications, information assurance, and cybersecurity.
With 30 years of experience at Viasat, Craig has served in a variety of strategic, operational, and technical leadership roles. Most recently, he served as President, Strategic Initiatives, with a focus on strategic programs and operational transformation, including the integration of Inmarsat. Prior to that, Craig was President, Engineering at Viasat, transforming technology development and operations to launch the company’s next generation of innovation. He also served as Chief Product Officer, spearheading the company’s transformation for product-driven growth.
Previously, Craig served as President, Viasat Government Systems, leading a multi-faceted organization with diverse range of defense products and services, including satellite connectivity, tactical networks, cyber/network security, and cloud-enabled C5ISR communications. Craig also oversaw the divestiture of Viasat’s Link-16 Tactical Data Links business, which was a part of the Government Systems portfolio and sold to L3Harris for nearly $2 billion.
Prior to that he served as the segment’s Chief Technology Officer and launched the Viasat Government Systems Resilient Space Missions business, which pioneered multi-network, multi-orbit, multi-band satellite communications with Viasat’s Hybrid Adaptive Network architecture.
Prior to Viasat, Craig worked at Hughes Missile Systems Group, advancing electronic countermeasures for radar systems. He also serves on the EvoNexus Board of Directors. Craig holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, with emphasis on Communications and Signal Processing from the University of Arizona.
Steve Poizner
Steve is the co-founder and CEO of oneNav, his fourth technology startup based in Silicon Valley. His second company, SnapTrack, pioneered the integration of GPS technology into mobile phones. SnapTrack was acquired by Qualcomm, and SnapTrack technology is now embedded in billions of smart phones around the world. Over the course of his career, Steve has launched, grown, and sold three technology companies, managed a portfolio of a dozen startups as an SVP at Qualcomm, worked at the highest levels in state and federal government and volunteered for a year as a public high school teacher. He was inducted into the Silicon Valley Engineering Hall of Fame in 2014. Steve holds a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, and an MBA from Stanford.
