There is an increased interest in the use of Commerical Off the Shelf (COTS) satellite communications technologies in Electronic Warfare and Electronic Attack (EW/EA) applications. This short technology brief will cover some technical considerations in the use of COTS solutions with the goal of informing potential users of the benefits and drawbacks of relying on COTS Technlogies for this expanding need.
