Talbot Jaeger is founder and chief technologist of NovaWurks™ Inc., the vanguard developer and provider of SLEGO™ products and services. Jaeger is both visionary and inventor within NovaWurks’ team of pioneering engineers, software architects and technicians that deliver next generation technology for space.
Jaeger’s vision of “cellularized” conformal and reconfigurable satellites has led to the development of SLEGO™ Building Blocks and Universal Device Adapters (UDAs). This biologically inspired hardware and software supports aggregation of resources to enhance the space industry by drastically decreasing the time and cost of creating spacecraft that inherently support ISAM, security, and dynamic logistics and environments.
Jaeger has been actively involved from womb to tomb on over a dozen large and small space programs and their flight operations. Throughout his 30-plus years in the aerospace industry, he has successfully managed and directed project concepts, systems engineering, ground and mission control operations. In addition, he led the Applied Minds development of the Mayflower CubeSat, one of the payloads launched onboard SpaceX’s first Falcon 9 rocket. Mayflower was a highly-integrated building block, delivering product from initial design to the launch integrator in just six months.
Jaeger began as a draftsman, then grew from engineer to Director at TRW and Northrop Grumman with assignments as the lead of vehicle design and concept developments at Scaled Composites, and Chief Architect for the seedling study and following phase of the System F6 program. Jaeger has multiple degrees and certificates focused in biochemistry, information computer science, electrical engineering, and optical sciences. He enjoys teaching, deep discussions with colleagues, continuously dating his wife, the challenges of children, the joys of grandchildren, and the constant forgiveness from God, friends, family, and his dog.
